The Top 2 Fitness Concerns: Keeping it Simple | The Daily PT

Top fitness concerns for men

Every person has health concerns.

What concerns you most is going to depend on your current level of fitness, your personal goals, your family history, and all those vanity and virility issues that we obsess over.

So what did our readers say when we asked them: What are your top fitness concerns?

With so many of us in our 40?s and 50?s that whole idea of aging is completely different than what our parents experienced. In fact, thanks to advances in science (and I?m talking about more than just Viagra), we are discovering that our nutritional foundation can positively impact how we age.

A big factor is keeping your hormone levels in those safe, upper ranges. The more birthdays you have the less testosterone your body will generate. Unless?.you actively do things to keep them elevated.

Regular exercise is a big part of this. In the past, people just accepted on blind faith the growing old meant doing less. You and I both know that?s B.S.

Really, that?s sort of the chicken and egg argument ? which comes first?lack of exercise, or the ability to do less as you age. The good news is that it?s never too late to start a real fitness program and jump-??start your system. More and more guys are turning to safe, doping free, supplements to keep everything balanced in addition to a regular form of exercise and weight training.

DHEA has been the subject of many anti-??aging studies. DHEA, which is often found in the best dietary supplements and men?s vitamins, is an adrenal steroid. It is an indirect building block for other hormones.

It doesn?t directly affect the amount of testosterone produced. Rather it serves more as an effective buffer against excesses or deficits of estrogen and androgens. DHEA is found in our Super Army & Professional Sports Mega Endurance Formula

Top Fitness Concerns: Having a strong heart so I don?t keel over with a heart attack

Military FitnessHealthy aging is about staying clear of chronic illness, injury, and physical disability. It?s surprising really how much of this can point back to your heart. The health of your cardiovascular system affects every area of health, so it?s important that you:

???? Eat real, nutritionally dense foods that support overall health
???? Supplement the nutrients that you?re not naturally getting from your foods to support cardiac output and recovery
???? Get enough sleep
???? Positively manage stress
???? Maintain a consistent fitness program

Face it. Most of us think that we are healthier than we actually are.

On the surface, you may look healthy; however, you really don?t know what?s lurking underneath the skin unless you really pay attention to your habits.

In fact, when you look healthy on the outside you could be at a higher risk for heart disease simply because nobody, not even you, would think that someone so ?fit? could have an issue. When the external warning signs are missing, heart disease can easily be overlooked.

Now, I?m not saying this to make you all paranoid. It?s really to make you more aware of the importance of regular checkups and blood work (full CBC even when you feel healthy). By doing this you can monitor what is normal for you (your baseline) and discover any changes early.

Another good tip is to keep track of what you?re eating, which supplements you?re taking, and your personal fitness training. It?s very easy to think that you?re doing everything right. But so many people discover some very fix-??able gaps in their otherwise healthy habits once they see it all down in black and white.

So tell me ? what?s your biggest fitness concern?

Did we cover it here, or is there something else that you worry about?.let us know!

Certainly there are more than 2 fitness concerns for men. However, I would argue that many of them stem from these: Wanting to feel youthful at any age, and having a strong heart.
